They're not working.

I got AOL Broadband not too long ago, and ever since the two programs have stopped working. I noticed it first when I tried to log onto MSN, and it wouldn't let me - I thought it was a problem with MSN at the time, but almost a week later, and it still doesn't work. I checked IE, and it didn't work either. My brother informs me that he has the same problem - we're using the same Internet connection (AOL Broadband).

Someone told my brother to type in the Keyword "home network setup", and a location will be added. He said that if we signed on from that location, both IE and MSN would work. Alas - no luck. We tried it, but no such location was added.

It has come to my attention that, in fact, this problem is not a rare occurrence with AOL Broadband. I've been told that it happens with a lot of AOLers.

I'm considering downloading Firefox, but I know it wouldn't fix my MSN problem. Does anyone have anything to recommend?

Thanks bunches! :)

My recommendation would be to get rid of AOL. The AOL software envelops you system like the plague.

Unfortunately, my dad uses AOL for work, and if his e-mail were to change the problems that would follow would be a hindrance to his business.

Then tell your dad to get his own computer! /images/forums/icons/laugh.gif

He has his own computer, however we all use the same AOL system, and the e-mail addresses on all of the computers remain the same. We cannot get rid of AOL at this current time. Do you have any other suggestions to make? Thanks for your help anyway. :P

OK, no more beating around the bush. What you are experiencing is a conflict between AOL and MSN. You either have to get rid of AOL or MSN or live with the problem.
