This problem started after I was infected with Win.winshow32 and Smithfraud viruses. After successfully removing them I noticed IE would give Page Not Displayed errors when clicking certain hyperlinks---for example, the links along the right side of the page (Sponsored Links) when using Google search. I tried Tech Support from my ISP (Roadrunner) and after trying many things they determined it was not an ISP issue, but rather something in the software. I have already done a reinstall of Win XP over the previous install--but the Tech Support person said these "dirty " installs don't always correct issues and that the only thing he could think of would be to do a complete reformat/reinstall. I would like to avoid this if possible, as I have alot of software, etc. that I would need to back up and reinstall as well which would basically take me all day to do.
Any suggestions on what could be done to remedy this problem???
