got a netgear wireless card for laptop, what else do i need to connect wireless, whats the difference between hub and router?

You need one of these: <a target="_blank" href=http://www.netgear.com/products/consumer/prod_router_wireless_hm.php>NetGear Home Wireless Router</a> A router is a type of hub in that you can connect multiple computers to it, both wired and wireless. I have my laptop connected with a wireless card and a second desktop connected with a CAT6 cable.

do each router come with firewall & security or does that depend on price. what do i do if i have a dialup, netgear doesnt have dialup routers, is there other dialup routers i can use with netgear wireless card for my laptop

i got an email from netgear saying they dont have dialup routers, so if i cant find a netgear router can i use any other brand name router with my netgear wireless card?

yes you can use your netger card to connect to any other brand name wierless router just make sure your the card an router are the same speed you should see 802.11b or 802.11g just match them up and you will be fine they all work on the same frequencies

im looking for a router that i can use for my desktop which connects dialup and want to go wireless to my laptop? i noticed the link above to netgear model fwg114p is that for dialup it does say dialup
