View Full Version : Scan Files for Suggested Correction - Issue!

I just purchased v6.0.0.750 of Registry Mechanic and would like to turn on the "Scan Files for Suggested Correction" option described in the help documentation. When I go to set the option, however, it isn't one of the available selections. Why is this? Was this functionality integrated into v6, or do I have a technical issue of some sort?
I am hesitant to begin cleansing my Registry until I resolve this given the other issues I've read about with this application. The last thing I need is to blow out my Registry!! (Although, I am backing it up before every change!)
Thanks!
Kirsten

Hi kirsten_lynch,
"Scan files for suggested correction" has been removed from Registry Mechanic 6 as many users have used the tool incorrectly which caused their operating system to not function correctly.
Please be advised that this tool is currently being re-develop to make it easier for users to perform the task in the future.
Cheers,
AChen

Thanks for getting back to me! I went ahead and cleaned-up my registry without it this weekend.
I found Registry Mechanic to be very helpful in my whole repair / clean-up process over the past few days. It worked wonderfully for what I needed it to do. I had over 1,700 errors in my registry, and now I have none with a much better performing laptop!
Thanks a bunch!
Kirsten
