I need to remove safely that no good of a hog of System Restore from Win ME, this computer has very little resources and space and that 6 to 700 mb saved will help a lot... ASAP help please /images/forums/icons/smile.gif

I don't have ME, and I've only played with it once, long ago, so........
Go to Start, Programs, System Tools, System Restore. There should be controls there.
You could also allocate zero space usage (which is essentially the same as not using it);
Right click on My Computer and go to "Performance" tab, File System, "Hard Disk" tab.
For the "System Restore disk space use", set it to 0MB.

If you turn it off as Pennydan50 stated all your restore points will be deleted. You could then turn it back on and create a single restore point. You can also delete all but the last restore point in Disk cleanup. That is if ME has it.
PC performance buffs have long measured hardware advances using a few simple metrics: Is it faster? Is it bigger? Does it have more blinky lights?

Q. How can I enable or disable System Restore?
A. Select Start followed by Control Panel, and double-click the System icon. Then:
1.
Click the System Restore tab on the System dialog box
2.
To enable, clear the Turn off System Restore check box
3.
To disable, select the Turn off System Restore check box
4.
Click OK when done
