Setting up a mates system. Dlink 302G/Optus. Set the computer, ran the CD. Plugged the power into the modem and all lights EXCEPT the status light are on. Tried USB, ethernet through a new NIC, 3 sessions with Optus, format and fresh install of ME. No status light. Tried on WinXP and 98SE. Still no go. Is it routed, because this is the second one they have sent.
Do I actually need to be at the account holders address for it to configure? I'm trying to get it to work before I give it back to him.
I can ping the router on 10.1.1.1 successfully as well as 127.0.0.1. It just won't ping a known address. I can connect it successfully to a Draytek 2600, just not this dlink 302G.
Any advice would be welcome.
