Why would my computer suddenly start telling me (shortly after boot up) that it is looking for IMGICON.EXE ?
This is apparently an IOMEGA file - but I'm not running IOMEGA.
I know I did something - I deleted a whole swag of files and folders from my C: drive to make some room. But I didn't delete anything I'm using, that I know of.
So it makes me think of a second question: How can we be sure, 100%, of EVERYTHING that the computer is going to try to load on bootup?
It seems to me that various pieces of software tell you they will help you with this - and then it turns out there's stuff loading up that has avoided their net. Or am I wrong? Is it perfectly simple? I hope so.
I just want to know everything my computer has loaded up on boot and WHY?
I know WHY? might take a while. I'll do the work, searching the net for information on each file, if I can get the definitive list in the first place.
