upon booting msn chat window appears...yuk (W98)

This may seem like quite an elementary question...compared to some I have been reading...wow...but when my computer boots a large msn chat window has started up...I don't know where it came from since I am not a chatter. How do I get rid of this?l Thanks so much!

ok, i had the same problem, there are two fix'sf:
first fix:
1open msn and click options (tools/options)
click gennerel tab and un check that stupid problem

second fix: (this is for older versions)
1. click run under the start menu
2.typen "msconfig"
3 select the tab (on top) that states "startup"
4. uncheck msnmsgr
two fixes for one problem...
