My system currently runs NT Workstation 4 and I recently came across a copy of Windows 2k Pro. and wanted to update. Thing is it's not an update version of the product. The error I get is as follows:
The option to upgrade will not be available at this time because setup was unable to load the file E:\i386\winntupg\netupgrd.dll (Drive E being my cdrom)
Now I know that an Upgrade version of 98 could be used to do full installs, and a full version of 98 could be used to do upgrades via a registry hack.
What I wish to know is if the same can be done with the version of Win 2k that I have. Is there a registry hack that will allow me to use my full version of Win2k to upgrade from NT4. A clean install is out as I just don't need 2000 that badly but figured it would be nice to have.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
