How do I reset by security policies to default..My child brother made lots of changes to security settings which is preventing me from performing any actions...it throws up lots of error messages

Re install. The best POLICY. Do you have the SYSTEM STATE backup?

Use group policy editor (gpedit.msc) for start -> run.

Wht command should I do run in gpedit.msc which will return the default settings..I tried everything without any success

You should try to use the "security Configuration and Analysis" snap-ins. with this tool you are able to import a default security template!

1. start, run, type: mmc
2. File add remove Snap-in,
