View Full Version : IRQ management under W2k
Hi, All.
Does anybody know how to force w2k to allow me manually distribute irq's (where are that registry keys, that respond on that)?.
My w2k arranged 6 devices on IRQ11 :(

That is part of the PNP. If they all work don't muck with them.

Yeah, they all works but with reboot: for example:
now system works normally, then I reboot it and when I launch something like Quake1,2,3 (OpenGL), the system hangs - only reset helps.
I reboot w2k again and all work again.
All this repeats always.
Yes, you say PNP, but there are 2 free IRQs at least. To my mind, when there are video, sound, network and TVtuner cards arranged on the same IRQ - it isn't normally.
What would you say about all this?
Do you know where to find a format of registry keys, that respond on assigning irq in w2k?

Are these programs 'Quake1,2,3 (OpenGL)' W2K compliant?
I know that a LOT of the games will NOT run on W2K.

of course they are Win2k compilant,
even doom runs.
But my problems limit not only by games, when I start software for my TVtuner - Avermedia AverPhone98, the same problem appears - computer hangs. After reboot all ok.
Tvtuner is win2k compilant - because AverMedia wouldn't place drivers for it on their site
