suspend mode

my system won't wake up after going in suspend mode except by hitting the reset button. any suggestions?tia!

That's a common problem with laptops--mine included. It's kind of at the bottom of my to do list because I was unable to find anything in the MS knowledgebase--I simply stopped using the function--which is hardly the answer you were looking for, I'm sure...

The first thing you should do is change your video driver, see if there are any updates or perhaps use an older driver if there are no new ones. If that does not fix it sometimes its the hard disk, You may have to go into windows power managment and disable IDE powerdown, this kinda defeats the perpose of suspend though/.

My afraid, I've got the same problem with ME
running on my desktop. Whatever the configuration is about sleep mode, it won't wake up again except using Reset...
Sometimes, it runs properly but... what is the reason !
One solutin is indeed stop using sleep mode
but does anyone have something more
useful to propose ?
