Hi,

I was using SpyBot and for what ever or however I ended up with a new NTLDR file in my c:\ directory. If I delete it the PC won't boot up. I have to go into the recovery console and copy it from the windows disk to c:\. If I put it in the i386 folder it wont read it from there anymore. Is there a way to make it read it from there again. Call me anal but it annoys me in C:\. lol. Thanks.

It MUST be in the root directory of the boot partition... By default is hidden, but, maybe, you activated the option to show hidden and system files...

OK, I also had to right click on it and chedk "HIDDEN". Thanks.

It cannot be anywhere else, because disk boot sector can only store name "NTLDR". There is no space to add directory part. Probably boot process doesn't understand subdirectories so it would work if you tried.
