screensaver password (WME)

The screensaver password is not working. I've been doing alot of installing, uninstalling, etc. trying to get my scanner to work (but no such luck). And I think I might corrupted something some how as the screensaver password is not working. I am deffinately intering the correct password.

All other passwords are working fine and I'm in the computer so it's not a critical issue but I would like to use the screensaver with a password (as insecure as it is). I've deleted *.PWL files and emptied the Recycle Bin as instructed by a friend but I still cannot create a new password so I cannot password protect the screensaver. could some one please help me use password protection again with the screensaver?

What screensaver are you using? maybe you should try different screensaver

I am using the "Blank Screen" screensaver that came with ME. I tried other screensavers as suggested but when I attempt to assign a password I get an error "Incorrect password". It appears all the screensavers use the same password assignment.
