First time posting, so hello, and hopefully this will make sense.
For reasons best left alone, we have some end users who prefer to have their email alert notification set so that (in Office 2003) when a new email comes in, you get that little transparent box appearing in the lower right-hand corner of one's screen.
However, when that notification pops up, you get a bit of the actual email w/in the box. For privacy reasons, these folk would rather that not happen.
I've checked, and aside from some general settings, there doesn't seem to be a way to change that from happening.
Now, I realize that they could just change their method of email alert, and I've also figured out that you can disable that alert and set up a blank rule that will pop up an alert when a new email arrives however....
I'm wondering if there's any registry edit/tweak that can be done so that one can continue to get the original email notification alert, but not have any text in it.
I've tried the Microsoft forum, and a couple of other forums, but no luck, so after stumbling onto y'all's forum here, thought I'd try my luck. Not really a major deal, but it's sort of become a personal quest now.
Thanks in advance for any/all help, and take care.
Jim
