View Full Version : deleted something that shouldn't (WXP-Home)
I have deleted something but I shouldn't have delete it. I just trwe in the trash and after that I've emty the trash.
My qeustion is where can i find it again.
atleast someone said that I could find it when I did regedit but can some help me better

When you delete files or folders the Operating System usually deletes only the first letter of the name and marks the space available for new data.
The data is still on the hard drive until that space is needed for the installation or a write to the hard drive at which point the data is over-written and gone.
Defragmenting the hard drive moves data/files around, also rewriting the hard drive at which point most deleted data is gone.
If you have an Undelete or Unerase utility installed before the deletion you may be able to recover it.

but what if I have deleted a photo or something should I be able to recover that to?
