/images/forums/icons/smile.gifHope some one may be able to help .

I have a Win 2000 pro system service pack 4.
It has a Toshiba dvd ram player recorder, and a Ricoh cd-r/rw player recorder.

I decided to upgrade to a new burning software, I had used (for some time) Instant Backup by vob. I tried the down load of Copy2dvd, but could not get this to work properly. /images/forums/icons/frown.gif

Removed the software, both drives working.

Spoke to someone who informed me that the Roxio Easy DVD copy, was easy to use and got a copy to try.

It had also been said that it maybe, best to only have one back-up/ burning software on the hard drive at once, so removed the Instant backup software which includes instant write .

Both softwares where removed with the uninstall feature of said software.

Upon rebooting, I find that no CD/DVD drives are recognised./images/forums/icons/frown.gif

The device manager shows an exclamation mark, but no resorces tab shows in the properties section!

I decide upon the driver update at Microsoft, the drivers for said player writers are common to the Win2000 software.

I check the program folder and find that the driver files are present, but I still have no CD/DVD players?

Next I try removing the CD player and rebooting, then need to reboot again for 2000 to recognise the new hard ware setting.

Still no DVD player as Windows is unable to load the drivers./images/forums/icons/frown.gif

Any ideas for where to go next most appreciated./images/forums/icons/blush.gif
