DISK DEFRAGMENTER IS MISSING. RECEIVING NO SNAP IN MESSAGE. HOW DO i GET IT BACK?

Goto start/run to the open box. Enter SFC /PURGECACHE (**leave a space between sfc and/purgecache), click ok start/run, in the open box type SFC /SCANNOW (** again, leave a space between sfc and /scannow). Next, goto start/my computer, right click on the hard drive icon(usually C:\),Click Properties/Tools tab/click Check Now. Place check marks in the two boxes and click ok. This scan will start after restarting your computer and will take awile to complete. It worked for me after the purge and scan., but completed to see if there were any other issues. ok
