Ok it orginally started with a IE error and I used this soultion to fix it

"Yes I have the click the link and the white screen that doesnt load error. I tryed doing this technique to fix it "

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll

All of the other DLLs succedd but when I get to SHELL32 I get this error

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v252/DaIlliBoyz/error.bmp

I cant replace shell32 because it is always being used by windows

and I know this is the reason for my IE messing up

It would appear that your shell32.dll has been replaced by another.

Try going to Start, Run, type in:
msinfo32
Hit the Ok button.

Go to Tools, Version Conflict manager (VCM).

Scroll to shell32.dll and select the one that is not the current one.
Follow the prompts.

I am using Win98SE and in C:\Windows\System folder I find Shell32.dll at 1,368KB dated 4/23/1999 with a version number of 4.72.3612.1700.
This is the same version I have found on the Win98 CD.

I have another that is in the VCM folder that is 1,356KB with a version number of 4.72.3812.600 that I am not using.

If VCM does not resolve it then you can use System File Checker (SFC) to 'Extract one file from installation disk'.
Go to Start, Run, SFC to access it.
Of course you will need your Win98 installation disk for this process.

The utility or the folder C:\WINDOWS\VCM?

Otherwise use SFC with the installation CD to extract a copy.

If not able to do that then I can post a copy of it on my webspace if you like.

msinfo32 is the tool that contains the utility named "Version conflict manager" (VCM).

C:\WINDOWS\VCM is the folder that the changed .dll files are stored within.
The VCM utility looks in that folder for the files that have been changed.

So, am I correct in assuming that since you have no C:\WINDOWS\VCM folder then you used SFC to extract a copy of shell32.dll from your Win98SE CD and now you are all set?

I just now realized that the error message that you were getting as:
"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v252/DaIlliBoyz/error.bmp" was not the actual error message.

Now I looked at here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v252/DaIlliBoyz/error.bmp>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v252/DaIlliBoyz/error.bmp) and select "Save target as" to download a copy of it. It is 1.33MB in size and the same version I mentioned earlier.

Once downloaded go to Start, Run and type in:
sfc
and hit the OK button.

System File Checker will open.

Select the second option to "Extract one file from installation disk".

In the box below that type in Shell32.dll and hit the Start button.

On the next screen use the Browse button to point to the copy you downloaded off of my webspace for the "Restore from" box.
And in the "Save file in" box it should state:
C:\Windows\System
Click the Ok button to complete the process.
You will be prompted to Restart your PC.

Let me know once you have the copy off of my webspace so that I can then remove it from there. Otherwise I will remove it on Friday of this week.

This will replace your copy of Shell32.dll in the C:\Windows\System folder.
I do not know if it will resolve your original problem or not.

Regards,
Bryan

Thank you for Shell32 but now I think the real problem is Kernel32 because everytime I kill that process the computer freezes good you upload a copy of Kernel32.dll it would be greatly appreciated and thanks for the help with extracting SHell32

Kernel32.dll 460KB in size.

The version is the same as the one I have in
C:\Windows\System. It is 4.10.2222 and on the Win98SE CD.

Again use Right click and "Save target as" to get a copy.

"KERNELL32.dll"
Did you mis-spell that or is it actually stating the file has two L's in it?

What was your original problem that you were wanting to fix?
