I'm running xphome and I think I've picked up a virus, everytime I reset my homepage it keeps changing back to a "search page" http://win-eto.com/hp.htm complete with pop-ups telling me about a security alert (and how thier product can deal with it).

It also add some unsavoury pages to my favourites.
Ive deleted them, and references to the rogue page from my registry along with its partner http://super-spider.com/sp.htm
but everytime I go online they return.
what can I do?

You have picked up a browser Hijacker. You can download the HijackThis tool from the first link.

a) <a target="_blank" href=http://tomcoyote.com/hjt/>HijackThis Quickstart</a>.

b) <a target="_blank" href=http://aumha.org/a/hjttutor.htm>HijackThis Tutorial</a>

c)<a target="_blank" href=http://hijackthis.de/index.php?langselect=english>HijackThis Log File</a>
