I am trying out Mozilla Firefox (was using IE) and finding it quite good - in fact it is better than IE for research or surfing purposes.
Does anyone know how the security measure up for the 2 browsers? Thanks!

FireFox is more secure than IE-6. It's reportedly better written and also does not (yet) have the wide spread usage of IE-6 and therefore is a smaller target.

Thanks... I am more concerned about the underlying or rather inherent security. The targeting issue - personally I feel it is only a matter of time.

Keep Firefox updated .
Open Firefox > Tools > Options > Advanced > Software Update , tick the boxes & click on Check Now .

FYI (and just for laugh.. maybe you missed reading this)..
>> Is Avant Browser a secure browser?
Yes, Avant Browser is secure. Since it's based on Internet Explorer, Avant Browser is as secure as Internet Explorer. Avant Browser supports all SSL secured websites. Avant Browser's encryption length is the same as Internet Explorer's.
