Computer acting really slow.

I'm not sure what causes it, but recently my computer has been acting very slow and I've been getting random internet explorer pop-ups. To make matters worse, MSN has been going very slow aswell. I think there's adware or viruses about. What programs do I need, where can I get them and what must I do to get my computer performing in tip top shape?

Sounds like you picked up adware/malware somewhere. I would start by making sure your antivirus is up to date and run a scan of your hard drive. Next I would search and download Lavasoft's Ad-Aware program and scan your computer with that. I also like to use Spybot Search and Destroy. This may not get it all but it's a good start.

Also try ad-aware.. that is as good as spy bot search and destroy..
