Hey, it may seems a pretty stupid question, but i can't download files from web sites, i just got sp2 and im not really use to it. anyway, when i try to download a file, i have a helpbar showing up sayin "IE blocked the download for your security" so i right click and choose download anyway
the download box opens but there's no speed rate and nothing downloads.
i went trough tools>internet setting>security
i tryed to personnalize the settings but when i put it to low security I get a warning that default is mid and it won't let me put it low.
can someone help me?? thx
People says I'm funny but I won't prove it to you here ;)

Well, Microsoft and it's **** SPs and bugs...
The reason to this thing is that your connection simply blocks downloads from the web for security reasons (yeah whatever Microsoft...), say, can you see pictures normally and can you watch on-line videos? if you do so it blocks only what you try to download personally or when it thinks the link is suspiciousm, try to download something from MS's site itself and see what happens and be sure to be logged in as an admin to your OS maybe that's why you can't change the settings.
Ofcourse one way or the other I wouldn't recommend you tosurf with low-security mode and I really don't think it's the reason you'd rather try turning off your firewall in case you have it on and then see what happens...
DAMN, I hate these sort of problems because I have that kind of problems myself and very often, tough didn't see that kind of problem yet...
I wish you luck in your fight against the MS "stupidity" and maybe some real smart dudes will help you out, for now I'll try to get more info concerning this topic, see you later.
