Ddhelp.exe can be related to spyware. If you don't have them installed, download and run Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

Links: Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&subj=dlpage&tag=button>Ad-Aware</a>

It can also be related to Active X controls, but check for spyware first.

Hi Tom,
SpyBot and AVG were useless in this case. I downloaded and ran Ad-Aware per your suggestion. It found over 300 possibles, mostly low risk, but I removed most of them anyway and, so far, things seem to be working okay.
You saved my bacon - again!! Thanks loads.
