double click = find..why? (W98)

when looking at a folder anywhere in the disk drive (desktop and my computer excluded, except for folders in a drive)...double click and/or enter starts a find instead of opening the folder. When you right click and bring up the context menu, the find is bold instead of open. How do I fix/change/ correct this problem?

Do you have any guess as to how it may have changed?

Hopefully you can go to Start, Settings, Folder Options, File Types, Folder and change the default action to Open.
(Find, is not even one of my choices)

It seems odd that it does not effect all of your folders.

If this problem started happening in the last couple of days then you could restart the computer to the command prompt and type in:
scanreg /restore
Hit enter
select a date that was prior to the problem.
