Okay...I tried installing Win98SE on an old Celeron 400Mhz w/ 64 MB of RAM so my grandpa could get online to check his stocks and e-mail and after the first reboot, this "E-Z disk" thing pops up and says press any key to safe boot or see system menu and then it says:
"Please enter location of command interpreter (IE C:\Windows)"
And I do so and it doesn't work. I just repeats itself. So I loaded up the Win98 startup disk and viewed the contents of C:\Windows\Command.com and sure as Bush is a warmongering heathen, there was command.com. So I tried it like that and no deal.
Then I tried installing WinNT 4.0 and it rebooted twice and then it came up with a ton of errors and I ended up installing WinXP on it and so far fine...does anyone know why this happens?
Ho, there, Wanderer, stay thy course and indulge an old man...
