Hi,
I have had what i thought was the about:blank virus for a while now and have been trying unsucessfully to get rid of it.
So far i have used ad-aware 6 (each time i run it it finds stuff, then i delete them, but once i restart my computer the problem is back).
My computer won't let me run trend micro for some reason, every time it begins loading after about 2mins my explorer window "has performed an illegal operation" and has to be closed. I have also tried a number of other virus scanners with no luck.
Now, in the last few weeks we have even had trouble logging into hotmail. You can sign in, but as soon as the inbox loads the page is redirected to about:blank. Usually i have to run ad-aware before i can check my email.
As you can imagine this is driving me crazy!
