Prefetch resets to 0 after each reboot (WXP-Pro)

I have changed my EnablePrefetcher value to "2" accordingly to the instructions on this site. But for some reason after each reboot the EnablePrefetcher registry key keeps resetting to 0.

Please help, this is driving me nuts

Here is the result of my findings:

I have a USB drive (Sony MicroVault USM128D)
http://www.sony.net/Products/Media/Microvault/1-2d.html
and the driver application "FD.exe" (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\SAP\FD.exe) sets the Enableprefetcher value to 0 each time it's run.
And FD.exe starts each time window starts or when you access the MicroVault.

So my tip to all of you who are about to buy a USB Memory:
DON'T BUY SONY MICROVAULT CRAP!
