Ms Outlook / IE

Hi there,
I have some problems with the Ms Outlook 2000,It seems like my Send & Receive are having problems..can't surf the internet (Page could not be displayed) but suprisingly i could go onto messenger and others,which means im online/connected.My microsoft outlook just keep on poping up those error message about my SMTP thingy.Hope someone could help me out..thanks alot.

*btw my main point is i can't use ms outlook because my IE is not working..if i explained un-clearly.thanks

You may have to manually enter your DNS number in order to surf the internet.

for your smtp thing, you need to check your smtp address. ping your outgoing.mail and see if you get reply? Most likely your DNS is not resolving the names, that's why you can't get internet and/or email function.

Find it out from your isp and ask them what DNS is and enter in the network properties (tcp/ip) manually. It will work.
