Hi, the other day something strange happened to me. A friend of mine was attempting to send me a photo that he had is his files. When I opened the attachment that he sent me, I found all my C: drive information, program files, everything. His response was, wow that is strange, how did that happen? Does this mean he can look in my computer anytime he wants to and see what I am doing? Can I stop this if this is true? I am really upset. Thank you for any help.

Hi, When my friend sent me a file , which was supposed to be a photo, I opened it and it showed all my information in my Compnetinc C:. I found it strange that he had this information and was wondering if he was capable of checking all my information in my computer. Thanks hope this explains more.

I think i know what you mean . What you definitly should do in the future is to check the extension of a file
before you open it. Pictures mostly end with .jpg or .bmp . a bitmap or jpeg compressed photo. The file that was send to you obviously ended with a executable like .exe or .bat . Some "friends" are smart and use something like this " mypicture.jpg.exe "

The file that was send to you was probably a file that displays the contents of a drive on your screen. Think of it as looking in a mirror. So although it looks like your whole security has been compromised i would not be to worried about it.
