Insert the AOL CD instead of the Win98 CD and try again.

Thanks Guru
Ubfortunately files not on AOL system cd or AOL broadband installation cd or pc suppliers original cds - they seem to be common files to do with internet adapters

Are you using Win98FE or Win98SE?
I am using Win98SE and find routetab.dll, rpcltc3.dll and rpclts3.dll on the Win98SE CD in the Win98 folder and in the Net7.cab. The Net7.cab is only 1,573kb in size. There is also Net8, Net9 and Net10.cab files in that folder.
When asked for the files point it to the Win98 folder on the Win98 CD or copy that folder to your hard drive and point it there.

Thanks Guru
Although I could not find them before I have again looked for some of the other "missing" files and found them ok - the search then also found routetab etc - Baffled why they were not found before but all sorted - thanks again for your help

ya would thing the peple at aol, would be professional, but i guess not.. lol if an inf is mislabeled inside some how, that is what is causing that problem to arise. i have had that happen before. in the future if you need any dlls from the windows 98 cd. grab all the cab files and extraact them all to thier own serperate folder with the same name. then use the browse button to find the file you need. will save you alot of time and hassle.

i don't complain. i just tweak until my arms
fall off.... tweakability is the code name of windows.
if it 1st down work. tweak it out until it does.

Beerman,
I Have copied the Win98 folder to my hard drive and use CabX.bat to extract them from the Win98 folder.
(Of course I modified the .bat file to point to my Win98 folder on C:\ instead of the CD.)
