“Your computer has been infected with I.worm virus”! This is the warning message in this popup from hell. My worry is that it’s getting progressively worse, if anyone knows anything I would appreciate your help. I think the company behind it is noadware.net but that’s another matter.
I believe this thing was introduced into my system about a week ago. One night in the middle my work all explorer sessions (IE, and window) froze. I had to end them all through task manager and reboot the system. The following few days I noticed every time I rebooted my computer a blue window started popping up but before it completely finished opening I would close it. Starting a couple of days ago the popup not only finishes loading but it takes complete control over my monitor. The appearance of the popup does not look like an ad but a warning. It does not have a company logo, it has a standard window’s dialog box in the middle with a warning that warns my system is infected with I.worm virus. There’s two buttons “cancel” and “ok”. Cancel removes the popup but “ok” takes me to a company website. The website doesn’t have a big company logo but a lot of writing about spy-ware/ad-ware and how the free scan software on that page can remove them. As of now I cannot be certain of this but I think this is something noadware.net introduced into my system.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks in advance
