When I installed Norton System Works 2003 Pro Edition the installation
went without any problem but the I could not restart my computer. The computer would go into DOS mode with C:\ prompt and the following message would display:"cannot find WIN.COM, unable to continue loading windows".I restarted a couple of times with the same result. I then restarted in safe mode and uninstalled System Works.I then installed only Norton Ghost which is the only program that I really need.The result was the same with the same error message and unable to load windows.I had to uninstall using safe mode in order to load windows.My computer is in perfect working order with on previous problems. Has anyone encountered a similar problem with Norton Ghost? Any advice would be appreciated.
Computer: Compaq Presario 5827
Windows98 SE
256MB RAM
17GB and 6.4GB Hard Drives
