I changed the RAM in my Dell L600CX and it wouldn't boot. I put the old RAM back and it still won't boot. The system comes alive and then the green light on the monitor changes back to orange. There is no sound from the HD. I'm not getting any BIOS beeps at all, and never did for that matter. Please help..!

Is there a light on the motherboard itself when the power cord is plugged in? If so, the motherboard and any cards/memory modules stand a chance of being damaged when removing or inserting if the power cord is not unplugged and the light is out [takes a few seconds to go off] due to residual power in the capacitors that has to drain off.

Yes there is a light on the motherboard and I waited until it went out before removing anything. since yesterday I have also replaced the HD and removed all the add in boards. Nothing seems to work. I even tried the old RAM on another PC and its working fine. Could I have damaged the motherboard?
