gamma correction tools cause loss of color and looking black&white (W2K)

i imported the color profile that i made by adobe gamma in win98 and it
caused the system to look black & white
the same thing happened when i made
a new profile and even when i used another tool called quick gamma any
suggestions?

it's ok guys i found out what it's about on the adobe forum lowering the hardware acceleration in the display card properties or using a newer driver for the nvidia riva 128 display card solves the problem u may be kind enough to browse back to the forum and answer my other 2 questions about standby & web content in folders
