Floppy Drive Accessing Sometimes (W98)

Hi I have a problem where as my A:\drive (floppy) keeps trying to bootup, if I open "My Computer" it does it & other times aswell, I don't have Search for new floppy drives when booting up checked in System properties ... plus I'm not sure if its related but my Defrag will keep rebooting & never finishes .... I make sure that there is nothing running in the background & it still does it /images/forums/icons/mad.gif Any help appreciated...
