I need recommendation of the best spyware protection software.

I currently use hijack this.exe, spy bot search and destroy...

but it didnt fix the cool search thing, so I downloaded

cwshredder.exe and fix the problem..

Now I just downloaded spyblaster, I don't know if the protection is any good. or waste any memory.
I will see ......

Anyone has other spyware protection software that can recommend?

Hey, homeflash ...

Ad-aware would be one to add to your arsenal. It's free and highly regarded by all those who regard things.

I'm going to give Spyware Doctor a spin.

I thought I tried ad-aware but didn't have a good feeling about it.. Maybe it is just me.

Anyway, lately after I installed this software..

It is univerisal web filter. I think that takes care spyware/popups as well.

However, I think spyware only attacks IE, looks like other browswers like Netscape, Mozilla, firefox, opera didnt get attacked. Again, maybe I use them less. I always noticed IE had problem with all the spyware attacks.

Ad-aware is ok but I found Bazooka Spyscan, also free, to pick up a bunch more adware/spyware crap than Ad-aware & it only takes a fast flash second or two to do the scan. Only drawback is you have to do all the removal yourself. Fast little sucker though that Bazooka.

Pest Patrol is amazing. It's the strongest thing I know, it's like Windex instead of Soapy Water. Although, it does cost. I have used it before, but I actually use Spybot and Ad-aware since those are both free. Here's a link.
