Welcome to the new Spyware, Adware and Trojans Forum! This is the place to post any problems related to infections of malware on your PC!
Spyware comes in many forms including adware, Trojans, system monitors, home page hijackers, key-loggers. The signs of infection can be many and varied, but some include:
- increased popup advertising being shown while you surf the web
- having you home or start page hijacked and changed in your browser
- having details of your PC activity sent back to advertisers and other companies
- Trojans that download information and programs to your computer in the background, and can then be used to perform unauthorized tasks like sending SPAM from your PC
- progams, known as keyloggers, that monitor and record the keys typed on your PC, which can then be used for malicious activity, including identity theft and hacking
- and many more...
Spyware now infects 9 out of 10 PCs connected to the Internet and has eclipsed viruses as the #1 threat to online privacy.
The forum is proudly sponsored by Spyware Doctor (http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/), an advanced spyware removal utility that detects and cleans thousands of potential spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, spybots and tracking threats from your PC.
Before proceeding with posting your problems, please ensure you check our stickies for information that may help in resolving the problem.
In many cases, we may already have a fix/update available.
If you still have trouble, you can post your problems here and one of our trained professionals will respond to assist you with troubleshooting.
Please upload any files you would like us to investigate, preferably compressed (zipped) with no password and we will respond to your post within the same day.
Attachments can be added in the additional options area when you create your post.
