I want to prevent people sharing the same network account - is there a way to prevent the same account logging onto the network from more than one machine at the same time?

Staff are logging students on & as the head wanted a single domain when we upgraded it gives the kids access to all the admin stuff........

2K workstations
2k server
Active directory...
any ideas???? - other than knee capping the staff -

Cheers

Steve

Why not create a group for staff and a group for the students and restrict access through GPO?

we are using group policy by workstation not user - do you know where there is an option to prevent multiple logons in the policy? I cant find it!

You could try using Cconect.exe (Microsoft) or if you prefer a third party solution Userlock is a good choice.
