Hi there,
I am a security analyst and a new bie in the security arena and simply consider myself fortunate to get my career into this field.

I basically do security monitoring on Intrusion detection systems like CSIDS,ISS REAL Secure and Snort.

My boss has asked me to develop a test lab using virtual pc ,in which we could have a simulation of our real work like have snort sensor then attach it to a test client network, monitor traffic..basically he wants this test lab to be utilized as a training lab ,where in we all could learn installing ids Sensors.

What would be a good plan to do it, we would need user logins ..so that each engineer is at his pace of whatver he has reached in learning above stuff, could each user save sessions for himself and continue his work next time he logged in!!Not sure, anyhelp ion this front would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi

I would recommend creating a test lab environment rather than using Virtual PC 2004.
