Howdy,
My version of MedPlayer9 is 9.00.00.2980.
It has been installed since march and I have not yet been advised of a single update by the automatic update - codecs or anything else.
Can anyone outline how the advice appears, or if I have missed some setting.
My question in the Windows sponsored forum has had a big fat zero response.
thanks in advance :-)

Golly. This seems to be unanswerable in any of the four sites where I've asked.
Would it help if I stated that I registered my copy of Registry Mechanic last week the right way - with money and not a key hack?
It will be interesting to find out if there has been any user who has had a notification of a Windows Media update - any version :-)
cheers.

Nope.
Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ PlayerUpgrade. Change EnableAutoUpgrade to yes

Howdy DanK and thanks for the plain advice :-)
It appears that the upgrade comes with the thing turned off.
thanks again for taking the time :-)
No problem
