I am trying to back up my laptop using ghost 2003. My laptop has a Toshiba CD/DVD combo drive and it is suppoted by Ghost 2003. The image should fit on One DVD, when the back up process starts it asks to put the DVD in the drive and starts to copy, but it only copies 700MB to the DVD and then asks for a new cd. The DVD has 4.7 Gig of space. I think it has comthing to do with the drivers. Can any one help?
I have the following cd/dvd combo drive. I also have a Toshiba M30 Notebook.
thanks

If I am reading your info correctly you have CDRW\DVDR combo drive. You need to have a DVDRW drive to write to the DVD.
Hope this is of some help.

Eucos,
Don't you mean SDR1612? I use one of those. It has some serious driver (firmware) issues that Toshiba refuses to address. But it's NOT a writer, it's only a reader.

<a target="_blank" href=http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DVDnameid=122&Search=Search&list=>http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DVDnameid=122&Search=Search&list=</a> does have some info about your DVD burner and has a recommendation to upgrade the firmware for better media compatibility. Nothing about a 700Mb problem though.
I am guessing it is a setting in Ghost not knowing it is a DVD instead of a CD causing the problem or you may have Ghost set to span disks greater than 700Mb. Check it's settings.
