I have a few windows 2000 machines that are members of a windows 2000 domain. I created a default profile and put it in the netlogon share so all users profiles will be the same. They are not mandatory profiles. For a moment, let's assume I am logged into the domain for one of the workstations with an account named "Dave". When I log out by clicking the START button, then selecting SHUT DOWN, if I want to just log off the machine, it lists the name of the account that was used to create the default profile, not the account I'm logged in with. Therefore, it says "LOGOFF TEMPLATE" (template being the name of the account used to created the DF) although I am logged in as DAVE. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
