Hi everyone, I have an unusual question. I have a teenager who is deleting all internet activity. Doesn't access things when the family is around or closes quickly when someone enters the room. This concerns me as to her whereabouts. Unfortunately she is extremely competent with the computer and covering her tracks. I do not want to use spyware because I think her norton would detect it. She also uses adaware. My question is...is there a way to find deleted history? Or is there a way to set it up so all deleted history goes into a file that she doesn't know about? Perhaps in the registry. I really don't want to spy on her, yet she is showing signs of sneakyness that concerns me. Without knowing my hands are tied. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is it possible to fine hotmail or yahoo mail that has been deleted, such as with the *.dbx for outlook?

There are a number of programs that can do this. http://www.trueactive.com is a great one. You could also use a disk editor to recover any of these files. What I think works best, if you have a problem, is to tell them if you delete ANY internet activity or circumvent ANY monitoring software, then their internet privileges are lost. If they say something about privacy or trust, remind them that using the internet is a privilege, not a right. If they show by their activities or behavior they can be trusted then great, however if not..... Or there are a number of internet providers that will block access from the provider. Either way remember, you are the boss. You decide, and YOU are responsible for anything that happens on a computer in your house.
