Hello,

I hope someone will help me to find ways on how to disable ms dos prompt. I already implemented the policy wherein the dos prompt is restricted. But I spotted a user wherein she was able to launch an ms dos prompt window from a MS DOS PROMPT.PIF (shortcut) on her desktop.
Please let me know what else should I set in order to stop the user from launching from a shortcut.

Thanks

I'd think that as long as command.com exists it may be difficult to prevent use of it.

Hello,

Yeah, thats what I did to prevent them from exiting to ms dos prompt. but is it safe to delete that and will not affecting any application running on 16bit environment.

It most likely will prevent running 16-bit DOS applications.
