status bar by default (WXP-Pro)

What really bothers me is that when I open windows explorer to browse my files, status bar is not there by default and instead I have to click every time View->Status Bar. Is there any way to make windows display status bar by default.
I am using Windows XP Pro.

Its a known bug in XP.

Close any instances of Internet Explorer, open Windows Explorer, click view > status bar

Click Tools > Folder options > view. Click Apply to all folders
