Hello,

I had an interesting question the other day regarding the measurement of data passed through the NIC and given in the local area connection status window.

I am aware that this setting is determined by the NIC itself when TCP/IP is started but what I would like to know is if it is possible to change this via registry? I have seen other measurements given (ie - MBytes, bytes, packets, etc) on other PC's with variant NIC's.

anyone know?

all of this is available in perfmon. But if you want to get this information from the taskbar only, I think that the NIC driver has to provide this. Perhaps you should download the entire NIC card driver/setup program.
