I have a network of two computers one WINXP PRO and other WINXP H , i have a shared connection for internet i can sigin in my messengers , update nortan but cant browse internet any sugestions ?

Are the two computers able to see each other?
HAve you been able to accomplish other tasks like file sharing, and print sharing?
If you are seeing the two computers on the network, and they are communicating with each other, then the next thing to do is tell Windows which connection to share.... That is done in the properties of your network connection (or network steup wizard)

alright
i can acess all the resources like printer , files , songs etc i have shared the internet connection i can even signin to my IM's and can even chat can transfer files etc but cant browse i have checked the ports and disabled the firewall too but of no use ran the network setup wizard no use assigned the Ips manually no use ... any further suggestions

The Solution,
i know it is quite wiered but FDISK worked i formated my system and reinstalled the o/s but that didnt worked the only thing worked was the FDISK.

you fdisk'd winxp?
the other thing that I would have looked at was a reinstallitation of IE... It seems somthing more like a IE issue if you are able to establish connection with your messengers, and your filessharing works... then you have made a connection to the outside (internet). If IE is unable to see the internet, then there is somthing wrong with it... You should have tried to reinstall it through your XP disk...
