HI ALL,

I have an old motherboard with 486DX4-S CPU @ 120MHZ. BIOS v4.50G i go to CMOS change date and time, then Save and Exit. But, when i reboot it goes back to 2095. what should i do.

your help will be appreciated.

Sounds like the battery is duff.

Thank nick, before i thought like you too. But this motherboard had no battery. to reset CMOS it use only Jumper.
any idea.

HI to me it sounds like u have a built on battery. on every mother board u have a battery that is how it keeps time date and settings. and there are a few posibilities to this that i know of, one thing u can do is reset the cmos and see if that works,u can make a post where i think it was nick said, or u can try to flash the cmos and hope that u have the right flash and it works and your flash chip doesn't get messed. (highly recommend that u dont try to flash)
