Hello and thanks in advance.

I am running windows XP Professional with all the updates installed. I have a LAN connection for my ADSL line which appears under the heading LAN or High-Speed Internet in Network Connections.
I also have a VPN connection for remote connecting to my workplace which appears under Virtual Private Network. Before I connect, there is no default connection.
However, when I connect through the VPN, it is set as the Default Connection and after I disconnect it remains as the default.

How can I configure this so that it is not set as the default connection? Or why is it being set as the default?

It causes an issue, where after I disconnect the VPN I have to log off of my system before I can get Outlook Express to use the LAN connection.

Please Help

You need to configure your VPN connection to only be used for the work subnet.... For instance, my work subnet is 10.1.64.0/22. That subnet is entered in the preferences for the VPN software. Not knowing what software you are using, I cannot tell you where you would find this setting.

I'll have to find out what the subnet is. Thanks. BTW, I'm not using any software, merely setting up a VPN connection through the network connections.
